RW Smith is a polished showman, dancing and joking with the audience even as he delivers a song with his rich baritone voice. Born the sixth son of eight children, RW grew up on a small farm in the Hayward hills overlooking the San Francisco Bay. His interest has always been music. Tom Donald and Bob Saporiti wrote “Alcohol Of Fame.” The two were songwriting partners and studio owners in San Francisco in the 70s, then split up in the early 80s. Bob went on to become head of Warner Bros. Nashville. Tom enjoyed a long career in advertising, ending up as a film director. hiTrecords is proud to introduce “Alcohol Of Fame,” by RW Smith.

I was 12 steps from the podium
